During time at Elizabethtown College, I was afforded multiple opportunities to work with students of various abilities. These experiences, including working in a high school learning support classroom and a first grade classroom in inner-city Lancaster with English Language Learners have allowed me to form my own opinions of what social justice looks like in classrooms, schools, and the world.

All students deserve the chance to learn. Learning occurs at different rates for different students. Learning about and working with different populations has prepared me to advocate for all students. I aim to incorporate social justice themes in my teaching. I will expose my students to new cultures, ideas, and ways of thinking. I look forward to continuing my own growth as well.
