 Welcome to my education portfolio!

My name is Victoria Metal and I am a passionate music teacher looking to use my skills in an Elementary General Music Classroom. I graduated from Elizabethtown College with my Bachelors of Music degree in Music Education in May of 2017. While studying at Elizabethtown College, I have been an active member of the college community. My participation in various choirs and musical ensembles has exposed me to many different teaching styles. After school, I went on to teach general music in Harford County, Maryland. My responsibilities included teaching students ages K-5 and leading the fourth grade chorus.

I believe every student is unique and should be treated as such in the classroom. I aim to provide my students with all the tools they need to succeed. Through varied instruction across multiple mediums, I have designed and implemented lesson plans that allowed all my students to excel. I am looking forward to continuing this application in a full-time teaching position in the near future.

I am an experienced teacher in all grades from PreK-12 in general, choral, and instrumental music. My experience student teaching in an urban elementary school in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and two schools in Harford County, MD with vastly different populations has prepared me to work with diverse populations of students.

In this profile, you will find evidence of my real-world teaching experiences and my personal beliefs about teaching. Thank you for taking the time to view my portfolio.
