Discussion of Field Placement

My current field placement is at Lower Dauphin High School. I am in a 9th grade Algebra 1 class with a very hands-on teacher. Fortunately, she allows me to take leadership and help out frequently. There are many days when she completes a warm-up with the class as I go around and check their homework, and then I present a lesson to them. She has given me the responsibilty to create their lessons, create homework assignments and quizzes, and also grade their work. My favorite part about this placement is when I get to work individually with the students. I often assist them with their classwork and answer all of their questions, and many times we play educational games to review for tests. This placement has left a lasting impact on me as I have experienced the tasks and duties of a teacher.
