Kidwatching Case Study

This case study was completed over the course of my junior fall semester while I attended Taylor Elementary in Columbia, Pennsylvania. I kept anecdotal records of a students strengths and weaknesses, did a miscue analysis noting aided and unaided recall, and did a reading and writing interview. I learned about a student's skills and knowledge in reading and writing, so educational goals and strategies could be developed for her for the remainder of the school year. This case study demonstrates the importance of how compiling data can help teachers individualize strategies that can help students succeed with reading and writing inside and outside of the classroom.
