Ideal Classroom Layout (Kindergarten)

The design of a classroom can establish a culture of learning, but it requires careful planning and flexibility. Creating an efficient classroom layout can determine whether students want to come to school on a daily basis, as well as promote effective learning in the classroom. When enrolled in my classroom management class, I created an ideal classroom layout of physical space that creates an environment that fosters cooperative learning, organization, and comfort for a kindergarten classroom. The classroom layout is based on Steele's Six Functions.

Below, you will find my ideal classroom map and my description of the classroom map based on Steele's Six Functions.
