Motivating all students is often an extremely difficult task. Like instruction, motivation must involve appropriate accommodations according to students' particular needs. This plan provides research-based strategies for promoting intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Topics include the role of teachers and parents, peer-assisted learning, students with Asperger Syndrome, real-world relevance in instruction, and student autonomy.
