Ancient Rome Unit Test

Component 1b and 1f

I created a test for the Ancient Rome Unit during my student teaching experience. It is important to planning and preparation to be able to create effective assessments. This falls under the components 1b, Demonstrating Knowledge of Students and 1f, Designing Student Assessments. Creating tests that will be good for your students means that you know them well. That a teacher is able to design an assessment effective for their students means that they understand the skills and needs of their students. Assessments should include many different forms of testing. Giving students options on tests such as multiple choice, matching, and short answer allows them to have at least one item on the test that they can succeed on.  It also means that the teacher can design a test that is a formative assessment for the knowledge of the students.
