Creating an environment of respect and rapport stems from a teacher's classroom style and their teaching philosophy. How a teacher interacts with their students is key to creating a comfortable classroom based on respect and good rapport.

This artifact entitled, "Ms. Altland's Classroom," touches on significant information on classroom development and environment. It is important to have an open and comfortable environment . I also strive for an academically challenging classroom where students are asked to live up to their full potential. This artifact is included because it demonstrates what I believe in as a teacher and what I expect from my classroom. It also gives students a glimpse of what they should expect from me as well.
