Ancient Rome Unit Plans

While student teaching, I had the opportunity to create lessons for a unit on Ancient Rome. Designing coherent instruction is a key component to Planning and Preparation. Creating lessons plans and structuring units is included in that. The unit that I developed has multiple learning activities for diverse learners.
Ancient Rome is such a fascinating time in history and to teach that to students was a joy. The unit consists of several different types of learning strategies for students who learn in different ways. Several projects, partnering work, group work, and direct instruction are among the forms of teaching strategies used for the month long unit. This process has taught me so much about planning. The significance of having a well-planned lesson for your students is so important to the learning process. I have also learned that being a professional is working with the other employees around you. Planning ahead created ease when working with any aides or learning support teachers.
