Centerville Middle School, Centerville, PA

Senior Year                                                               August 2012- December 2012 Student taught in a seventh grade world cultures and geography classroom.  Taught five classes a day.  Planned and implemented lesson plans.  Adapted lessons. Checked and graded all homework and assessments.  Participated at team activities at the middle school with students.  Attended planned in-service days and all school meetings.

 

South Lebanon Elementary School, Lebanon, PA 

Junior Year                                                                       January 2012- May 2012 Every Thursday went to a fifth grade classroom for the full school day for Methods Block.  Classes were reading, writing, math, social studies, and science.  Observed the teacher.  Assisted the teacher with writing lesson plans, teaching lessons to the class, checking and grading homework.

 

Warwick Area Middle School, Lititz, PA

Sophomore Year                                                  September 2010- December 2010 Twenty hours of field work in a life skills classroom with children who have autism.  Observed the teacher and the teacher’s aides to enhance personal professional skills.  Assisted the teacher and aides with children who needed help.  Interacted with the children while they worked on reading, writing, and mathematical skills.

 

Elizabethtown Area Middle School, Elizabethtown, PA

Freshmen Year                                                     October 2009-Decemeber 2009    Nineteen hours of field work in three classes of sixth and seventh grade students. Observed the teacher and the teacher’s aides to enhance personal professional skills.  Interacted with the children while they worked on homework problems and at the board.  Assisted the teacher and aides with children who needed help on math problems, reviewed problems on the board, and checked homework.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

 

Baby-Sitter, Hazleton, PA             May 2011-August 2011, May 2012- August 2012  Babysit for one family for their 7 year old son, weekly during the days while the parents are at work.  Supervise the child, makes him meals, plan activities, get him ready for events, provide transportation, and watch him at activities.

 

Baby-Sitter, Conyngham, PA                                              May 2010-August 2010 Baby-sat for one family.  The family has three children.  Supervised the children do homework, make them meals, got them ready for activities and for bed.

 

Hampton Inn, Hazleton, PA                                               May 2010- August 2010 Worked with housekeeping cleaning rooms, did laundry, and made sure that the guests were comfortable with their stay.

 

Performing Arts Center, Conyngham, PA                    September 2005- June 2009 Assistant ballet teacher for two ballet classes.  Assisted in teaching classes and choreographing dance routines.
