Component 2d: Managing Student Behavior
During my special education block, I was placed in a learning support classroom. I observed a student closely during my time there. The observations were completed during math instruction as well as language arts. I observed the student using a tally sheet as well as a Functional Assessment Checklist. I completed a behavior intervention plan based on this observations. I was able to hone in on the source of the behavior and create an intervention plan with a replacement behavior. This is a great tool to manage student's behavior in the classroom.
