Planning and preparation are both very crucial and essential parts of teaching. Within this domain, it examines deeply within the background knowledge it takes to prepare for an effective and meaningful lesson. As educators we need to ensure that we fully understand the content we are teaching as well as build the foundation for our students. We need to set realistic goals for the individuals in our classroom and pull in outside resources to create developmentally appropriate instruction. Lastly, within this domain it forms the importance of student knowledge by assessing their learning.
