Personal Philosophy of Education

 

 

            My personal philosophy and pedagogy is centered around classroom community. I truly believe that if we take the time to get to know our students by building relationships, it will result in significant learning. As educators we have to take the time to get to know each and every one of our students because they all bring unique qualities and assets into the classroom to further build the classroom environment.  If I can pull from students’ background knowledge I can create meaningful and valuable lesson plans that add to their funds of knowledge. If I can create meaningful and valuable lessons, I will ensure that students will academically perform well. Students will stay motivated if they are interested in what they are learning.

            I will ensure to incorporate active, engaging, and hands-on activities that are developmentally appropriate for each student. I want all of my students to work with and collaborate among one another to help them establish social skills as well as help each other learn. I will design and plan clear instruction, build a warming classroom community, implement clear instruction, and stay professional to ensure high student achievement. I will make reach all students learning needs by creating visuals, keeping students active, and giving clear verbal directions. I will set clear learning goals for students to see growth and improvement that is based on their individual needs. I will set clear classroom expectations to ensure that I am getting the most out of my instruction time. By creating clear expectations this will help monitor student behavior and regulate the classroom climate. Setting clear rules, procedures, and routines will help the classroom community function in a well constructed manner.

            I will further my learning by staying active with my education and trainings. I will make sure that I get involved within the school community as well as communicate properly with families, administrators, and colleagues. I will ensure to radiate positivity throughout my classroom and school environment by giving encouraging feedback and using uplifting words
