While developing lesson plans and units, I integrate stimulating and challenging content with various teaching strategies and techniques. My experiences have demonstrated the necessity to be informed about not only the content and pedagogy but also the needs of the students. The implementation of a variety of strategies allows me to reach the strengths and weaknesses of each student so that growth is an opportunity for all students. I also ensure that lesson plans follow a logical order and that all materials are ready prior to teaching. Even though I understand planning and preparation is a vital component of teaching, I recognize the importance of flexibility within the classroom.
