My response in this instrument reflects my interest in a variety of different types of social work. I find that I want to try all different types of social work to see which I enjoy the most. After interning at Milton Hershey School this semester, I can say for certain that I do enjoy working in a school environment with adolescents. However this is not the only option that I am considering.
From my experience working this past summer at a retirement home, I know that I do enjoy working with the elderly population, but I do not see myself working with them for the rest of my life. I also have little interest in mental health social work, as it has not appealed to me. However, I do have an open mind and would not mind trying it out in the future.
