The purpose of the portfolio is for students to showcase their skills. The themes chosen are a mix of your most real world experiences, those viewed as most important by practicing engineers (study published in the Journal of Engineering Education Jan 2012, 101(1) pp. 95-118, with responses from over 4000 practicing engineers from a wide spectrum of disciplines and industries), and those not as obvious from coursework.
Each student must collect items that demonstrate several of the 11 general programmatic educational outcomes. Students start assembling their portfolios in the spring of their first year.
This course will be hosted in Blackboard.
