When not in the classroom or lab, I enjoy running, reading and woodworking.  In the past 14 years, I've raced in local (and not so local - representing the University of The Gambia at the annual Brufut Run in 2010) races from 1 mile to the marathon (including Boston in 2013).  Since September 2011, I've been mentoring the Etown cross country and track teams.  They've been whipping me into shape - I've run personal best times at every distance I've raced since I started training with them.

In the shop, I enjoy making furniture for our home.  I've made a number of pieces ranging from small tables to bedroom furniture for my kids.  I also recently restored my old clarinet and played for the first time since 1987 - amazing how quickly it came back!  Anna has been pushing me to get ready to join her for the annual spring concert at the HS where they have parents join the band for one piece.  I think I might be able to pull it off...
