Through the last two summers, I've had the opportunity to work in a ESY Summer program in Harford County, Maryland. In the summer of 2010, I worked specifically with a kindergartner, who is in the picture below. It was critical to engage him while learning, and keep his attention through communicating what was expected, whether it be time spent on a certain subject or behavior.
