Predictable Chart

We build a predictable chart each week.  Day one and two are dictations, where the students orally complete the patterned sentence, filling in the sentence.  I model my sentence, students dictate theirs one at a time, as I model the writing of the sentence.  Day three is touch and read where the students touch and read their sentence with one to one matching.  Students take turns coming up and reading their sentence.  On day five the students read and build their patterned sentence. The students then draw a picture to match their sentence for the class book.
