At the end of my student teaching placement, I knew that I needed to thank the parents of my students. I had sent home various forms and papers that I needed returned to school. Even though most of my students were responsible, they were only second graders, and I owed a lot of appreciation to their parents who helped them at home. Many of the parents would contact me for ways to help their children in their home, and each time this happened I was so grateful that they were on the same page as I was. I decided to send a letter home thanking them for all of their support and involvement with their children and the school. Even though I know the students mentioned some of the activities we did together in school, I also wanted to let them know that I genuinely enjoyed having each of their children in my classroom.
